Topic: Smart spectator bot for streaming purposes

Hi,

Instead of something like these, I was toying around with the idea about a bot that goes around organized games in spectator with a smart camera code. They can follow a flag carrier, follow someone moving at high speeds, stay around an area with lots of bullets flying, follow someone with high kill streak, etc. Then, you can just stream it to twitch.tv and whatnot.

What do you think?

Something like director camera in CS:GO or League of Legends?
Would be nice.
Useable for streams, tournaments, even for players, to see the best actions.
Great idea

This sounds cool. Could you add multiple bots tracking multiple targets that way someone could take all the videos and slice the best aspects of the terniment? Possibly one or two for each team?

Re: Smart spectator bot for streaming purposes

Better just to focus on place, where is most action at the moment. But it will require some delay between real time and spectator view to compute where camera should be.

(That how it works in League of Legends, there is 3 minutes delay, but it's because, the game need it (prevent cheating). )

There is already a delay for spectators. Computing where the camera should be is minimal computation; it should be almost instantaneous.

Why not a smaah-brothers style mode, with zoom smoothly modified too?
