Re: Teeworlds Tournaments #2

When the steam summer sale come around you can get some nice games for cheap

Re: Teeworlds Tournaments #2

I am not convinced that 6€ are a good deal because of steam summer sales. I doubt that anyone will buy a game just because of 6€ prize money then...

You will get the chance to vote for your preferred prize money split strategy for the next tournament(s).
We are very sorry for the inconvenience, it is still experimental. Indeed did we calculate with an amount of around 100€, giving all 6 players (first, second and third placed teams) an (in our opinion) nice amount of money as reward.

Actually you shouldn't (no need), but I thought it would explain our ideas behind the szene.

Back to topic:
We have uploaded the maps for this tournament now. You can find the download links in the news post.
Sadly there will be only 3 maps: dm8, dm_des_tournaments and dm_snowfall_tournaments_tdm.

Re: Teeworlds Tournaments #2

It's not the season for a beanie, but I will sponsor a beanie with a tee on it. (Made by myself)

Re: Teeworlds Tournaments #2

Thank you, Landil.

I am pretty sure that we found a proper solution for all three winning teams:
The prize money will be split into 60% and 40% of it.
Another prize will be two beanies, made by Landil.

The prizes will be shared the following way:
The first placed team can pick one of the prizes: money or beanies.
Then the second placed team will pick its prize and the third placed team gets the last one.

Again, we are very sorry for the inconvenience and hope, that you all agree with this solution!

Re: Teeworlds Tournaments #2

Due to complaints of some participants we decided to decrease the setting
sv_respawn_delay_tdm
from "3" (seconds, default) to "2".

I could imagine 1 being a sensible value as well.

Re: Teeworlds Tournaments #2

... I play a lot of vanilla CTF5, and I want to join the tourney. it's not clear to me how i go about doing this.

Also, there is a rule about "modified clients" but i do some pretty wierd things with my bindings (i hook with s, right click is pistol, and a few other binds/scripts in my .teeworlds folder.) HOW MUCH OF THIS IS LEGITIMATE? do any judges want to look at my configs before allowing me through? (i use the version of the client that is in the Debian repositories, but, as i said, i modify a lot of my user settings)

finally IRC does not have full UTF-8 support, and my username is "☭"

can i enter the chatroom as "Commie" and still use my usual username?

Re: Teeworlds Tournaments #2

NO CTF5? NO THX

Wes.Mp3 - Now Playing: Celine Teeon - "I'm hooking into you"
Endurance[USA] - CTF5

Re: Teeworlds Tournaments #2

You are free to setup your client as you like granted you don't use non-standard features / cheats (the Debian packaged client is fine).

You cannot join IRC with a nickname using characters not on the ANSI charset. I suppose you can keep your usual TW nickname ingame as long as you tell commentators how to pronounce it.

Re: Teeworlds Tournaments #2

Only few days and 11 slots are left.
C'mon and sign up for this tournament, you won't ever have the chance to fight so many tdm matches again!
This is gonna be legendary *overreacting*

Re: Teeworlds Tournaments #2

my username is hammer and sickle because when you pick up the flag, it makes it look uberbadass. and i'v built a bunch of chat-binds for "taunting" my opponents, and some of them are communist themed, to make the play experience cohesive for all the noobz i pwn.

Re: Teeworlds Tournaments #2

I just wanted to pop in here and say thanks to all the people working hard to make these tournaments happen. I cannot think of something in teeworlds I would be more excited about than tournaments like these. It's unfortunate that I work the day of this one otherwise I would try to participate, but hopefully I will be home early enough to spec some of the games.

Perhaps in the future the devs could consider making it easier for people to host tournaments so we have more things like this happening. Also, with something like bitcoin we could automate and democratize the donation process. Just a thought. smile

!!! Please be aware that a team consists of at least TWO members. You CAN NOT take part with one member only and thus your team will be kicked after 24:00 CEST (18th june)!
(Affected teams: BALLrZ, Socialist Snake) !!!

And to all teams with more than two members:
Please be aware that we do not accept reserve players. You can NOT change your line-up during the tournament. You might consider to form new teams.

Re: Teeworlds Tournaments #2

Why deleted my team and another one who sign up yestarday?

45

Re: Teeworlds Tournaments #2

you will shuffle the teams a before the tournament starts?

46

Re: Teeworlds Tournaments #2

To me it looks like the teams have already been shuffled, if not, they will be.

Re: Teeworlds Tournaments #2

Sorry had no time this morning to post here.

The bracket has been shuffled and can be found here: teeworldstournaments.challonge.com/tournament2

As I posted yesterday, all teams without at least two members have been removed from the bracket.

Good luck and have fun!

Re: Teeworlds Tournaments #2

For those of you who wonder: The bracket has changed a bit, because 2 more teams which obly had 1 member had to be removed. The bracket has not changed otherwise (i.e. it has not been reshuffled).
