. Anyway I put here some comments, to justify my choices and let you suggest me a solution aswell:
- As GaBOr did on his Spanish translation, I used the 'second person' approach.
- When translating %i minute/minutes/second/seconds left in Italian the bast way do say it is to put "ancora" before the %i like ancora %i minuto/minuti/secondo/secondi, but in most of games - even if sounds worse - "rimanente/i" is used. So I thought that since this translation has to please most of Italian people as it can, I used this last approach.
- The join blue/red is anoter problem: we can say "Entra nei blu/rossi" or the best translation "Unisciti ai blu/rossi" but it's too long and I found "Vai ai blu/rossi", which is in English "Go to red/blue". After all is not that an huge meaning change.
- The hook could be translated in a lot of different words, "uncino", "gancio", "arpione", and so on but the best and most used is "rampino", so you can choose one of these, it's not that important.
- The rifle, is named by every player I know like laser. It's wrong, i know but "fucile di precisione" is so long and just "fucile" is the shotgun. So I hope you don't mind if I put "laser".
- I think that there are not any other notes that I would like you to know, the rest is not very changed from the actual Italian translation on GitHub, just some reordering of the sentences or whatever..
I tested these resolution on my laptop PC:
- 800x600 24bit (4:3)
- 1024x768 24bit (4:3)
- 1280x600 24bit (32:15)
- 1280x720 24bit (16:9)
- 1280x768 24bit (5:3)
- 1360x768 24bit (85:48)
- 1366x768 24bit (683:384)
Hoping to see the 0.6.1 soon, here's the italian.txt
