that would be good for a t-shirt not the slogan
i think the slogan is good the way it is when some one says "cute little buggers with guns" i think teewars
and when some one says teewars i think "cute little buggers with guns"
i vote no on #3
no matter how you do it registrations will kill teewar's casual feel
if you switch off colored names it would be just like if some one turned the name stealth would be shattered
I've searched animate and animated and there are no tread besides this one that directly addresses the development of an animated skin (though there could have been talk in the weapon suggestion thread)
i see 2 ways to do this
1. have the server rapidly change the what it uses for the game.png
2. trick the server into accepting a different format
are ffa death matches different from regular ones?
and the only hide tactic that works with names (that i know of) is trying to look frozen or(in theory) having a talk bubble (but those are massive breaches of battle edict)
using the number pad for emotes would be useful.
i prefer the bf1942 system (using combos of keys f1 through f8)
the skin thing is case sensitive you probably saved your skin as default.png or some other common name
@ any one who would know the answer: is it possible now or in the future to animate weapon skins?
for team play
radar would be less needed if there was hot keys for talking/emotes
i like the idea of colors for name for 1 reason
stealth
i see people all the time squeezing themselves behind rocks and shrubs and that works if your opponent has names turned off but those tactics are useless with big white letters above your head
you should be able to change name colors(not on the fly but it should be easy to match the color of a preplanned hiding spot)
also i once had an idea for a ninja map with dark shadows and corners for people to hide in and attack from(please someone steal this idea!) but the names float above every thing it would be useless with out black colored names to blend with those spots
to make sure there is no confusion the way you "install" a skin is by putting the png formated image file (a.k.a. skin) in the skins folder which is in the data folder(be sure to follow the posters instructions on how to name the file)(hosing sites change the name of the file for organization purposes)

Okay, I updated the post, was an edit to the idea and I was rushing for the post due to library times at "ecole".

just download some unsupported maps in the community section of the forums and run your own server if you don't see any servers using them
so any regular client can play this only the server is modified. right?

heres a unique weapon
THE BOUNCY GUN!:D
it shoots rubber balls that bounce around violently the faster it moves the more damage it does and disintegrates when it reaches a certain speed
well i'm not a programmer and i don't see myself learning anything above python in the near future
well every one is entitled to their own opinion
but in a last ditch effort to protect my idea i would say that this idea would only be used on one maybe two maps (designed to have areas that the tank can't reach)and only in team based modes
also heres another vehicle opposite the tank
copter
health:5
shield:5
primary:gun (clone of pistol with slower reload)
secondary: longhook
ammo: 10
speed: faster
note: so that no one is confued if the copter takes 5 damage it and the tee are destroyed same goes for the tank (but the tank is 20)
another note: both vehicles are only slightly larger than the tees (the tank is larger than the copter)
final note:copter only makes the tee lighter so he can move faster it does not allow him to fly
this stats thing is so COOL! i always play on DM world (it the only sever i can find with less than 100 ping) and I'm ranked number 141
