Topic: [DEVELOPMENT] How to get your translation into the next version
Warning, this topic is irrelevant, read more about the new translation system here.
As there are a lot of people willing to create language files for their mother tongue, here is an overview how you it might be possible to see them in a coming release.
1. Check here and in this thread, if there is a current version of the language you want to translate
2. (a) If there is one, you might want to check it, (b) If there is none, you might start a new translation file by copying and renaming one of the currently supported languages e.g. French, German, Swedish.
3. Translate all words and sentences; if there are problems because of your language's grammar report it here or tell us at #teeworlds or #teeworlds-dev
4. Test the language file
(a) add it to your local index.txt by adding e.g. klingon == tlhIngan Hol
(b) start teeworlds on different screen resolutions and check if some of the words/sentences are too long/overlap.
(c) ask 2 other people to check your translation (translation and overlapping on different screen resolutions)
(d) post it here and tell us which screen resolution were tested, who checked your version and the translation of your language's name e.g. klingon == tlhIngan Hol.
5. The teeworlds community will thank you and your language pack might be added in the next version
Thanks a lot!
If you have any problems with the plural form of words e.g. 1 second, 2 secondS you may consider an abbreviation, e.g. 1 or 2 sec. or use brackets or slahses e.g. 1 or 2 second(s)
You can follow changes regarding the translation files with this feed.
