Hello! I want to introduce you to my new mCatch mode, a lot of fun and interesting things await you! smile

Description:

It is a blend Block + Catch. It is rather simple, to win you have to throw your opponents in the freeze, after which the color change to your.

Server Variables:
sv_playersstart 2               - The minimum number of players for the end round (Min - 2, max - 15)
sv_colorfreeze 1                - Use ninja skin when you freeze(1 - yes, 0 - no)
sv_teamcolor 0                  - All vs All or Red vs Blue(1 - team block, 0 - all vs all)
sv_usesound 1                   - Use sound in the end round? (1 - yes, 0 - no)
sv_hooktime 3                   - The time when the hook disappear (Min - 3, max - 60 seconds)

Why don't you release the source code of your mod? Éveryone who is interested in this mod can benefit from it.

Mixing gametypes might bring something really interesting^^

About the source, it's server mod, so it will be mostly running on unix OSs, which prefer to compile everything itself.
Don't afraid of making source public - people will trust you and respect (even if coded is messed)

I like the idea of this, but why change the freeze entity? If you kept it the same you could use any block map.

Also, if a tee is frozen and you hook them into freeze, it doesn't count. They have to be awake or hammered. I don't like that.

Also why is the map all hookables??? But has two colors of tiles, o.O. Needs more unhookables or a limited time ground hook.

This is pretty cool. I think that a good map for this, would be one with only unhookables. Easy to make. I shall make one soon. maybe.

the limited hook is good but you need to add a delay before you can hook again, like 1 second... otherwise you can just keep spamming hook

I really like this mod and I decided to recreate one of my old unreleased blockmaps, the map fits the gamemode good but I stumbled upon two problems.


The map has a lot of freezes that you need to pass in order to move to the next room. I can imagine this would not work so well, when somebody wants to escape from a fight they can't move to the next room because they would be catched by there enemy when jumping through freeze.

Also, there is no unfreeze in your mod. I think unfreeze is essential because when somebody is freezed and catched they can simply be freezed and catched again by somebody else while waiting to unfreeze, if you place unfreeze around every freeze players can  continue directly after they are catched and don't miss any gameplay.

I will be fixing my map by removing unfreeze passages, but I hope you add unfreeze to your game tile.

Server up and running. 185.26.156.44:65013 with both a modification of ctf5 and your blmap_maze3

Having troubles finding servers in the serverlist? Go to Pastebin (its a referer cause there is daily a new pastebin) and add the lines to your settings.cfg (in %APPDATA%\teeworlds). Then open teeworlds and go to the favorites tab. (Note however, standard teeworlds client can only show 256 favorites, use ddnet instead)
