Hello people,

I need some ideas for the new Helmets.
Did you like the current advantages/disadvantages?
Which advantages/disadvantages they should have?
And which version of the helmet do you prefer?

Re: [CLIENT] Nodes 1.0.2

@[GMD]Error: Are there any news regarding a new version? My childs are still clicking on the nodes link on my old PC from time to time so... probably I would pick up work on this (anyway currently still working on Alien mod). But it (still) does not make much sense to work on two different versions. Maybe you can share your current state somewhere so it can be finished together. This mod still have lot potential. I'm not sure which way I would pick otherwise. Maybe port to 0.6 myself or polish and continue on 0.5 branch (hence I'm not sure if TW and nodes would get compatible someday anyway... 64 clients on nodes already no sign that even 32 clients would be supported in TW in near future).

Re: [CLIENT] Nodes 1.0.2

Map94 and Patafix have started to port Nodes to 0.6 via lua (https://github.com/MAP94/Nodes)
To play it you only need the N-Client (https://github.com/MAP94/teeworlds)
Maybe you could help them?

Re: [CLIENT] Nodes 1.0.2

I glanced out the LUA version with the N-Client but even that one is not finished right now. So I decided to pick up work 1.0.3 nodes (it's the fastest way for now in my opinion to get a valid working version) and fiddled around with that fonts and I had finally success.  Means all fonts are already replaced and they fit mostly very well. Some parts needs polishing (linebreak at some textblocks) - but I think I can release a new version soon.

In meanwhile I've setup already a 7/24 nodes dedi server (needed for testing anyway) and fixed some linebreaks smile. Currently I'm asking some artists regarding new gfx stuff - I remember a few nice teeish skins in DDRace-Client - and since Nodes got it's own client a new release is a chance I could add some as standard as well. Note: New release would also contain 0.6-TW tilesets of desert, jungle and winter (even old ones remains parallel so no need to rework old maps). I've even contacted Kottizen regarding his smart 32master server, the only one that supports > 16 clients so far, and Kottizen would turn it on again today night. Please keep in mind >16 clients with Nodes 1.0.1 would cause troubles to normal TW. I would not add lot's of new function in code of Nodes in this release (to increase speed of release-date and put in some life into nodes scene again) but I've planned some new stuff for next release already (e.g. airstrike as reinforment). If you have some ideas suggestions or contradictions please tell me here.

Re: [CLIENT] Nodes 1.0.2

I've wrote the latests links at the last post - so I don't really understand your problem. The next post is a "all links does not work" from the first page.
The version on the first page are outdated (I've took them down after I've found proprietary stuff in the current nodes). Even the link from the version from sushitee (posted by dark hunter) are outdated (if you use that one and got more then 16 players you might get banned from the masterservers).
Current version (1.0.4) could be (still) found here: https://www.teeworlds.com/forum/viewtop … 828#p95828 - but since it seems almost nobody is using it and even that guys that find into the forum are not able to find the right links (reading the last post) I'm not sure if the work makes much sense. I didn't create the first post so I can't edit it. I even can't edit the official nodes homepage. The current official one is dead - and I've never wrote one sentence with inherited since I picked up the work. This thread is not the best place to provide it as well.

Re: [CLIENT] Nodes 1.0.2

Maybe you could open up a new thread? However it's a little confusing since there are 3 more Nodes threads (Nodes map design competition;Nodes Beta;Nodes 1.0.1) and usually when I want to find something that somebody has written in a nodes thread it turns up to be the wrong thread.

I don't have plans for that. The current player-base of nodes is very-low. The work porting Nodes from 0.5 to 0.6 on the other side is high but would bring just a few changes from gamer-side afterwards (so I'm pretty sure this would not really change player-base at all). I think it does not make sense to port right now and do the hole stuff at 0.7 again. Nodes is still nice. In my opinion the current playerbase does not fit to the fun-level. It's not a problem of the software but of way too less players. On the other side: There is already 1.0.4 out but there are still some (or most?) out that still use old server/clients. Means already the work that was spent into newer versions was almost useless. Maybe there would be a port at 0.7 or if  [GMD]Error would release something he made.

Re: [CLIENT] Nodes 1.0.2

Found a backup of nodes 1.0.4 binaries and source while searching alien-source today and remembered regarding that thread. Don't know if somebody have use for it (my childs still like it smile).

Nodes 1.0.4 Win32: http://www.solidfiles.com/d/8d26f326d0/
Nodes 1.0.4 Lin32 + Source: http://www.solidfiles.com/d/f93aba4fb7/
Nodes 1.0.4 Lin64 + Source: http://www.solidfiles.com/d/751f571bc5/

I would not recommend to use 1.0.1. It contains a hard-coded Admin-PW and causes troubles to the master-server of TW if you get more then 16 players into it. 1.0.4 used master-server that even allowed more players (don't know if it's still online) depending on the player-number you choosed in the config as far I remember.
