I can't believe no one has suggested this yet...

1) Add a third layer to teeskins that moves just like the eyes do. You would be able to make teeskins with heads that wouldn't collapse in on itself when the tee blinks. It would also make possible for moving mouths too...
2) A forth later that goes above it all in teeskins. Then tees could use bandannas, headbands, scarf, caps... any type of head ware or thing that could go around a tee's body that would normally cover up ones eyes if worn.

*edit: I'd also like to point out that "More official game types (instagib, race)", race has already been ticketed as new gametype.

Suggestion : Improve player/projectile collision algorithms, represent tees as circles, not quads.
I feel it's really needed for the laser.

Let's do all with vectors and not with png at this point... also the graphic will be better.

Player <-> Projectile isn't done with a quad, it's a circle. Player <-> Tiles are done with a quad however.

Why not, instead of representing the shields as a beard, do a real floating shield like in the game "Crash Bandicoot"? xD

BUT what kind of shield would fit teeworlds? It would have to be extraordinary!
Or just the old shield.....

You could include it (somehow) into the weapon.png! Then everyone could choose his own bea....shield!
I would request for a beard skin, though....

The hook Idea is terrible. Round like that looks like shit, It's great your Open. but Those ideas are terrible. If you want all that, Play counter-Strike.

Teeworlds map should not hide anything. If you want to play real gameplay you don't have to guess where you have to hook.
And if the map doesn't clearly tell us where is collision there are still easy ways to bypass it (see my client).

As anything graphic, because they're rendered by the client.

Bananbl4, that means the hook won't attract you where you're hooked, but where the next part is, and that's a whole different system (see Hedgewars, a worms-like with this kind of hook, it's totaly different)

For the fog, I made that a few times ago.
Tell me what you think (about the idea, this solution is kinda laggy).

HTTP/FTP-Mapdownload

Downloading maps not directily drom the Server, but from an HTTP/FTP-Server.
For example:

sv_map http://www.mapserver.com/maps/username/mapname.map

This would cause less traffic to the Gameserver so there would be less lag, because the Server only has to send the URL.


EDIT: I'm trying to make this mod, but there are a few errors while compiling. sad

Maybe add some other langs? I can made a russian translation. Other players of all Solar System big_smile I think made translations for all widespread lingvas.

I suggest parameters support in Win-version.
Like this:
-mapeditor  = launch TW -> instant open Map Editor
-name <name> = use selected name one time
-connect <IP/Host> = instant connect to server

That can used for noobs -> mapeditor.bat:

start teeworlds.exe -mapeditor

UPD: I think out a new explanation of my idea:
for example two man have a 1 computer.
First play with nick SuperSmasher, and member of [1234567890] clan, have skin bluekitty
Second play with nick MegaDestroyer, skin cammo and always play on one server: lol.ru:8642
Constantly editing settings is inconveniently, so made 2 .bat files for them.

start teeworlds.exe -name SuperSmasher -clan 1234567890 -skin bluekitty
start teeworlds.exe -name MegaDestroyer -skin cammo -connect lol.ru:8642

If you want to use bat files anyway, just create two batfiles that copy the settings for the player to the settings.cfg in the config dir and back again after quitting teeworlds. That way even the changes made to the settings ingame will be saved for the player.

Quickstart for the editor because of noobs is a bad idea, because they won't know how to create/modify maps anyway.
