Topic: [INFO]The Story of Teeworlds

It all started off as a puzzle game called "Teepop". The inspiration was the Japanese game "Puyo puyo"! Teepop was released on August 2004 (I think it wasn't a public release)
The game however continued to develop and it undergone some major changes and became "Teewars" in 2007 *NOT REALLY* You all probably now how it looked like: It's only official game type was DM and it looked a little different in terms of graphics... Anyway it had a grand public release which was 0.2.0 tongue .
On March 2008 when Teewars got to version 0.4.0 it changed it's name to "Teeworlds" due to unknown legal reasons.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And as for the developers:

The whole idea came from Magnus Auvinen! Now I don't know much about their side of the story only that they met in Sweden pre 0.1.0. Developers by group: Serp;Void;Red com;Maikka;Datag.
Developers by tittle: Somerunce(Moderator);Matricks;Teetow;Magnet;Landil(Administrators) .

Re: [INFO]The Story of Teeworlds

This would be the original forum thread, started back in 2004: http://www.sweclockers.com/forum/10-pro … on-puzzle/

It's a little Swedish, but when has that ever stopped us! Sadly, all the links I've tried seem to be down. The latest version was called "teepop-v9.zip".

Re: [INFO]The Story of Teeworlds

I can't read Russian what so ever, but this kinda information should be on Teeworlds.com itself and not on some fan website. tongue *hint hint*

Give others the respect you wish to be respected with. In the mean time, enjoy the website!

Re: [INFO]The Story of Teeworlds

This Russian article - translated teeworlds history from TeeTV (that seems to be down)

- What was noise?
- Ze sound of progress, my friend.

Re: [INFO]The Story of Teeworlds

This is highly inaccurate. Teeworlds (Teewars) existed behind closed doors long before Teepop. Teepop was an offspawn because I wanted to play puyo puyo against my friends over the internet.

Teepop did not evolve into Teeworlds.
