Topic: Borrow a Teeworlds-Server

Hello!

The first service which enables a server Teeworlds to borrow is now available!

You have full control over the borrowed server via RCON and setting options such as game and mapchange.

All with just one click!

So easy, it was never a server to borrow / create. Financed by this project can be accomplished through advertising. If you find bugs, etc., please notify the contact.

Since we are still fairly new, we are of course also on the lookout for partnerships with other pages dealing with Teeworlds employ. The only requirement is that your site is well attended.

me too=) its the best idea ive heard!
but too bad that u can borrow a server onl yfor a little time,1hour were maybe better.

My tips:
support only vanilla maps/gamemodes ( like it is now ) - easiear, cleaner, simply better
when the server side demo recording gets bug-free ( hope soon enough ), make recorded demos avaliable to the person who requested the server ( keep them for a hour or two after the server expires ). Add scorelimit/timelimit/powerups/scpectator_slots selection to the servers tab maybe.

We will meet again when the flowers spread their glorious scent of victory and the birds sing us the melody of justice...

If you start a server, you will get the rcon-password and this allows to change this parameters, I think.

But I'm no expert of Teeworlds. ^^
If it's false what I say, please correct me.

Sure you are right, i jsut suggested adding some more options to the borrow server tab, so when u borrow the server u are ready to go.

as Torch already said it would be the best if you only support vanilla servers ( original gamemodes/gametypes)

only thing i would like is more time for the servers 20 mins is a bit less in a pro game.
Yesterday i think we needed like 30 mins to finish

Yes, we can!

But the interface is WIP, and not finished.

We want to host the server longer than 20 mins, and we will do this if the project get a bit more fame. ;>
I think it will be done after a week.

Oh come on. Quit whining about your English. It ain't that bad.

I really like this initiative. Really nice. However, you should make English the standard language, and German selectable to make it more available for the great masses. And of course, lendtime up to one hour, or something like that.

I think you could really expand this wonderful service by also supporting popular mods and other game modes. Especially because they represent a significant part of Teeworlds player base.

Also the ability to add high quality custom maps might be a good direction to expand in. This could be a very good way to allow less known custom maps to become more popular.

The Flag is disabled, because it has'n work.
We work to provide an english version of this service.

The server runs with a GBit fullduplex link and is directly connected to a 60 GBit backbone.

Yeah, he is german. Sorry, aede, but the mods don't speak german and this is an english forum, they can't moderate and check everything.

Just keep it english and btw, your english is nice. The best: Much better than the "12-14 years-old-kiddie-english". That's all what you need. wink
