Topic: [MOD] Instagib 2.x (for 0.5.x)

Hello all instagib-loving tees out there!

You might recognise me as the creator of instagib, or maybe not.
However, here I am with a new version of the phenomenom called

:: What's new? ::
In this version, there's not much new stuff.

* 0.5.x-support
* Laser-jumps

:: Features ::

* One-hit-kill
* Killing spree
* Rifle only
* No powerups
* DM/TDM/CTF-support
* Easy setup (this one really is true)

:: Setup ::

Grab the Instagib 2.2-zip, unzip into your Teeworlds-directory, read the "readme_instagib.txt"-file and you're good to go.

:: Last words ::
I wanna thank you players, for playing instagib. Sometimes I ask myself why I made this mod, I'm not enjoying playing it so much. But then I realize, it's for you! So thank you for playing the mod, and have loads of fun when playing the other parts of the game aswell smile

Also, this is the last version of Instagib I will create. I completely lost the time and enjoyment of creating this mod, so I hope someone else will follow me.

Thanks for the time we've had together - instagib, instagib players and I. See ya!

@ Somerunce, couldn't you wait a month or so before releasing this? Now 90% of the servers will be instagib because of the tees to lazy to learn to play the real game.

I'm disappointed, Somerunce. There was the great instagib mod. Laser-jumps are unnecessary.

I think its better to set laser jumps off by default! Who agrees?

I will fix the teamkill bug and add an option to disable laser jumps. Laser jumps will still be default, however.

Well I'm using a linux32 binary as well. I would very appreciate it, if you could add a linux executeable.
And it would be the best if you could to it additionally for Debian Etch and Lenny.

I discovered a bug however...
The laser explosion happens when first hitting the wall, and not after bounce as it used to be.

It is possible to disable laser explosion?

Laserjumps are very nice for CTF, it makes the game very fast! Love it!

I listened to your opinions and made a new version called Instagib 2.1. It's the same as 2.0 but the teamdamage-bug is fixed, and I added the option sv_laserjumps to enable/disable laserjumps.
Laserjumps are enabled by default.

You added a executable file for Linux. Coul you tell me whether it's compiled for Debian Lenny or for Etch? Because I want to run Teeworlds on my root server and I've the Etch version.

I can't launch server with that mod on Windows XP 32-bit!
I replaced teeworlds_srv.exe and wrote this autoexec.cfg:

sv_name [MOD Instagib] Streetfight
sv_register 1
masterserver master.teeworlds.com
sv_gametype ctf
sv_warmup 10
sv_map streetwars
sv_motd Welcome :) Prepare to be pwned :D
sv_max_clients 8
sv_spamprotection 1
sv_scorelimit 1000

Server is creating succesfully, but when I trying to write some commands such as "sv_laserjumps 1" nothing happens. It's just usually server with basics weapons! What do I do wrong?
PS when i change sv_gametype to "ictf", it doesn't creates
