Hey, thanks a lot for releasing the patch. I would like to make this into a 'Tag Mod' if you don't mind.

I would not recommend using this as a base for a so called "Tag Mod". The Survival-MOD (I released some days ago) would be a much better starting point. And a Tag-MOD should be TDM, or not? But anyway, if you want to use the FlagBall MOD feel free to use it (You may give me credits in your MOD-release wink ).

Re: [MOD] FlagBall

Roanoke, would you be able to compile a win32-binary of FlagBall-MOD and be so kind to post it here? I'll provide a linux-x86_64 (and maybe linux-x86) binary.

Download: teeworlds_srv MOD FlagBall-0.1.9 linux-x86_64 binary

Um, sorry, but I use linux.
I could give you the x86 binary however.
In fact, I will.

BTW: You could also apply the patch on the original sources with the patch-utils (for e.g. included in cygwin)...

Anyway, here is my current tar-ball: teeworlds-0.4.2-src-flagball-0.1.9b.tar.bz2

Re: [MOD] FlagBall

Edit: There are newer versions of FlagBall available in later posts

Due to server traffic-limits we (ghostface and datag) are currently unable to run our FlagBall-server for a longer time period.

Who would like to run a public FlagBall-Server? You can get this MOD here:
* The patch: Earlier post
* The binary for Windows (provided by °La'G xyz)
* The binary for Linux-x86 (provided by Roanoke)
* The binary for Linux-x86_64 (provided by datag)
* The binary for MAC OS X   (Not yet available... who can provide one?)

Very important:
* Please always run your server with a name containing the keywords "[MOD]" and "[FlagBall]" (and if appropriate "[Instagib]"). This helps people filtering out servers which run MODs.
* Please avoid to run the FlagBall-MOD with non-default config-variables! Gaming experiance should be equal on all FlagBall-Servers.
* If you want to run a server with modified sources, please *ALWAYS* add your name and source-version to the define "MOD_VERSION" in file "src/game/g_variables.h" (e.g. #define MOD_VERSION "0.1.9_yourname-0.1.0").

Have fun with FlagBall! smile

The server is not running at the moment. Please see this post for the reason.

You could run your own test-server in order to create a map for it (you can get the teeworlds-server executable here). Another way would be that you create a good mirrored CTF-map and I modify it to fit the needs of FlagBall.

Re: [MOD] FlagBall

Thanks Marik! Unfortunately players still complain that the map is too huge. IMHO only small to medium maps fit well with flagball-mod. Maybe we both could plan a new map together?

Hey bob. I finally got time to test your map. The layout is great, but could you please fix these points:
-) The background: Too much opaque tiles... maybe _more_ and bigger windows that one can see the background/sun
-) The goals: Scoring by throwing the ball should be easier (in stressful situations) than jumping into with the ball. (throwing=50 points; jumping_into=100 points). The size of the goal should be one tile wider and should be aligned to the outer-border (for cushion-throwing smile). Maybe the goal should be positioned a bit higher IN the "goal-zone" (that it's not too easy to jump into).
-) The second/alternative way on the ground should be at least 2 tiles wide.
-) Spawn-points should be spread more around the map. At the top, in the middle. (Don't place the spwan-points next to a goal)
