Topic: Read this first. No, really. Read it.

As the popularity of Teeworlds grows, we find that more of our time is spent helping people and less time actually developing the game. This is expected -- and we're glad to be of service -- but there are a few things we all can do to minimize this.

First of all, make sure to read all documentation properly. The information you seek is very likely in there, albeit in a compact format. Remain calm and read everything carefully. If this doesn't help you, browse and search the forums. Chances are your issue is not unique, and someone has already solved it for you. This also goes if you create a new topic -- make sure you post the solution!

If everything else fails, make use of the IRC channel. Our most active members are usually awake and eager to help you out, as long as you remain patient and friendly. It is not OK to privmsg developers with your issues; it steals our time, and other people will not benefit from your help. Ask your question in the channel, in a clear and detailed way, and wait for someone to reply.

A special note on bug reports: Teeworlds has a bug database at https://github.com/teeworlds/teeworlds/issues which is open for public browsing. Before reporting an issue, make sure it hasn't been reported already. You can also check up on whether or not we have fixed it for the next release.

Finally: Be nice to people! We're all noobs in some regard, and there's never a reason to be rude.
