Topic: [MAP] teepilot bloodmusic

For teeworlds version: 0.4.2

For those who are old enough to know xpilot, will know this map already by hearth. For both knowers and unknowers of this one-of-the-first onlinegames ever, this teeworlds map with give you a fresh experience:

It comes with this custom mod:

The mod will:
* Enhance the guns firepower to 6 damage
* Turn of auto ammo reloading
* Auto reload the gun when out of ammo, *BUT* reducing your health by 1. (so don't fire all too much smile)
* Kill players that reach bottom of screen
* Return the flag when it reaches unheld bottom of screen.
* Kill players who hook teammates (this is not a necessary intrinsic to this map, but I always hate teammates that want to drag me around, so on this map they get whats worth it for trying...)

Don't ask me why its called "bloodmusic" I just kept the name to give credits... Its is very exactly the same except there is no wrap around on the edges like in xpilot, and I didn't take the hassle to make the uppest part of the map, since its not wrapping nobody would want to go there anywhere...

Oh yes and for the proper allround feeling, you'll have to change tuning in settings.cfg to this:

tune gun_curvature 0
tune gun_speed 750.0
tune gun_lifetime 10

Update now with 2 minutes night after 4 minutes of day;

hmm nice concept and map, but nothing for my server ;-)

I took a look at your .patch and I have a suggestion.
Instead of decrementing health and check for death, why you just use the take_damage() function?

hm only a *.patch file.. how do i add this to my server?... can someone compile the homing mod + this mod to a windows file??

Dani, I uploaded a linux binary for a modified homing mod, with teamhooking-instadeath in the "other" section, as this map doesn't use any homing at all. I cannot do win binaries, sorry.

@spl0k, good question, I guess its because of I didn't know of that function big_smile

Update upon v2:
* Since I've seen complaints in the chatlog about my sun, I IMHO made it better now.
* The errournous clouods.png that segfaults the editor has been removed.
* The bigtee icons in the base are redrawn and much nicer now.
* The sun has now a bit of animated flare.
* "real" clouds venture now the sky, they fly from west to the east...

Okay last update for a while now. Now at version 3. Made the shadows round, made the ground of some blocks earth-like, and added a special new bone piece :-)

BTW: Looking for a host, my homecomputer just doesn't cut it in the long run, and I have to turn it off over night, since I like to sleep in silence smile

Cool. I guess you want a windows binary for the mod? (alongside with another windows binary for the homing mod)? Will take a while to install all the windows compiling stuff and I got a lot homework to do neutral

The mod is explecitly calibrated for this map.

A patch file, is a "differences" file. It containts all differences between the standard source and the modificationed. You apply it with the "patch" application on unix systems. "cygwin" brings unix to your windows desktop, so you can easily apply it there as well.
