Hello I am Nolay, the creator of the LUM level mod.

I created the first official version of this mod with the primary goal in mind to bring many new players to Teeworlds 0.7 and revive the old fashion style leveling gameplay of KOG|lvl, N-LVL and ME-LVL which was very popular in the older versions of Teeworlds.

The three letters in LUM stand for rather fitting "Levels, Upgrades & Mahyem" and represent the core of the gameplay.

The mod features a log in system so your progress will be saved.

The gameplay revolves around leveling up your account and upgrading your character and weapon stats, where the weapons unlock special abilities on certain levels.

You gain level by killing players, each time you level up you gain money to spend on upgrades.

I wish all of you who play it at least as much fun as i had creating it smile

The back then very popular mod called "KOG|lvl" inspired me to create this mod, thus I can proudly give credits to the creators "NoxNebula", "schmop", "MAP94" and "//Toast" and it's later joining publishers "Retro" and "iX::W4com".

Well the game-play balance is trash & not fun, but the Special feature  •  Switch to your most favorite weapon upon respawn works well(unlike DDnets), is this open source?

The LUM level mod is not open source and I don't plan to make it. But who knows, maybe I will change my mind some day .

I am happy for every tip on how to make the gameplay more fun / balance the weapons and stats.

Maybe shotgun nerfs were a little to much. Having trouble killing gun spammers 10 levels below me.

Bots (non player characters) must be reported as such to the master servers (or not reported), thereby not inflating the player count.

Non compliance results in a masterserver ban. Please fix this issue.

Edit: Seems like it was just many clients started by one player to farm, so that's fine. In any case, it is good practice to leave a way of contact in the MOTD to clear out issues.

As far as I know Schmop was the original creator of KoG|Level back in Teeworlds 0.5.2.
After 0.6 was released MAP94 was the author of KoG|Level and 0.6.x it was //toast.

And after //toast it was me, who was the main dev. Until 2015 or so.

Please nerf gun, its way to strong. im 15 levels above the gun player and cant kill him.

If you have trouble dealing with someone who is that much below you in level, you should consider spending more upgrades on your life.

Everyone with a spammable weapon can kill someone who does not have a sufficient amount of health with ease.

I recommend you upgrading ~10 life per 100 level.
