Special thanks for Broken for coping with my brainstorming.


What's it all about?

The ultimate objective of this project is to simplify basic gameplay of several gametypes by maximizing the amount of bound commands easily used by the player, and thus minimizing the need to look down in order to use awkward binds quickly.

In order to do that, a considerable combination of .cfg files allows the player to completely restructure the keyboard's settings in order to fit his needs for specific gametypes, at a moment's glance.


Which are the systems available on it?

--- Vanilla

  • Teamspeak:

    1. Support requests: Low HP, Dropping flag, Weakened carrier, Preparing for fastcap, Spawn campers

    2. Enemy carrier location

    3. Support location

--- Instagib

  • Dyncam Toggling

--- Level Mods

  • pLvL (temporarily discontinued due to the absence of servers)

  • KoG: Multiple accounts login shortcuts, Quick Shopping

--- Race

  • Toggling auto weapon change

  • Toggling other players' visibility

  • Teerace login shortcut

  • Quick rank shortcut

--- DDRace/PPRace

  • Toggling spacebar shortcuts (/r, /portal)

--- Default + Free Slot

  • Premade templates which allow the player to access his own settings.


What's still to be done?

Thanks to Ricardo and a few others, I am aware that a handful of players use the spacebar for jumping instead, consequently disabling one of the most relevant shortcuts of the system.

Plus, the system has been tested by very few people, so I cannot be really sure that such settings will be easily used even by the average WASD player. Therefore, this project is open for comments, criticism and revision.

There is still a handful of ideas which wasn't tested yet, and we'll work on them as soon as possible.

In this case "Enemy carrier location" is considered, imo, cheating..

It might seem, but it is not a constant feedback on what he's doing. Should such an accurate system be built, it'd take too long to be properly mastered and used and be eventually ignored. Once finding the carrier (and most likely dying or being unable to pursue him), an attacker can merely warn where the teammates are more likely to meet the carrier next, instead of handing out a full report on its exact placement and conditions. Likewise, it cannot predict what he's going to do next - it's up to the players to be able to anticipate such strategies. What's more, it was built with spacious maps and battles in mind: agile and/or well-protected carriers cannot be killed easily one way or another.
