Topic: Server list broken

Hey there,
I've got a problem with my server list, it only shows like 30% of all the servers.
Here's what I tried already:
- No filters but compatible version
- setting br_max_requests to a low value/high value
- delete all master servers but one in the masters.cfg

My teeworlds shows me this after loading for ~30 seconds with max requests set to 25:

Help anybody?

Re: Server list broken

If it says 995 servers you obviously get the whole list from the masters. Since even adjusting br_max_requests doesn't help I think your router might not be able to handle all those servers.

Re: Server list broken

Check your firewall, that's the usually fault. Or search in the forum, lot's of people had the same problem.

Re: Server list broken

I turned off the Windows-Firewall for testing, didn't help. Any ideas how I can get my router to load all the servers?
I got a pretty decent internet connection, so that shouldn't be the problem.

Re: Server list broken

We got a Speedport W 921V from Telekom. We got it from our provider together with our internet connection. I have access to the router configuration page, if that is necessary.

could try  updating firmware?

Re: Server list broken

In fact you should update your firmware quickly in case you haven't done it in the last couple of days as there was a security issue with your Router. Also, there don't seem to be problems related to massive UDP connections with this model. Maybe you can try a different computer, at least to figure if it's your computer or your internet.

Re: Server list broken

Yeah, I know about the security issue and already installed the latest Firmware. My brothers computer doesn't load the servers also, it seems to be some weird configuration of the Router, but I seriously have no idea what to change to get it working ...

Re: Server list broken

I had a problem with slow loading/not showing all/ and always showing 999 ping on servers. Turned out it was the logging option on my router that slowed it down = showed always 999 and didn't show all servers. After I removed the logging option O_O mother of God - speed of light! I did a whole lot of crap before I find out this was the problem... hope it saves you a lot of crap 2 tongue. If this doesn't help look at the security options of the router and try disabling them, see how it goes. Good luck!  @Dune: lol, that's ancient!

Re: Server list broken

My router also has a logging option and it is enabled - the only problem is, that there is no way to disable it. Also in the logfile nothing appears when I load the server list.. But it's definitely a problem with the router, because before we got another one and everything worked perfect, I just don't know what to do. Anybody has any other ideas? big_smile
