can I start a linux server without a connection to a master server?
Or is it possible to set up a local master server?

It won't show up in the server list, but you can still connect to it by IP

Used to be very active waay back

I wasn't really able to prevent the Server from connecting to the Master-Server... it always does, no matter what sv_sendheartbeats is set to... sad

Could u please add this info to http://www.teewars.com/?page=docs&id=168  ?

U can NOT prevent sending heartbeats to master server due to this command isn't working how it should (in ver. 0.3.4).

U can play on LAN server by typing ur own IP adress manually.

To know ur IP make this:

Open up the command line (Start -> run -> cmd) and type "ipconfig".

Is the Server already running when windows console says, "connection to masterserver"?
Because mine doesn't get further, and on lanpartys it cannot at all of course...

Yes, i think server is already started when windows console says, "connection to masterserver".
