:: What is bomb? ::
Bomb is a hammer-only gametype with one player being a bomb. The subject is to be the last man standing. It's basically a combination of survival, hammer party and a little bit of suicidal tee spirit.

:: Eh? ::
One player is the bomb. There's a countdown going on, from 19 seconds to 0. The objective for the bomb is to get rid of the bomb by hitting other players with the hammer. If he hits another player the victim becomes the bomb, and the countdown continues. The other players can hit the bomb and thereby making the time decrease with 1 second at each hit. They also get points for this. They can also hit each other which freezes the victim's input for 1 second. This is a powerful weapon when being chased.

There must be another, tinier one, called "The Pit" or something, which is actually funier because of its smal size. (although I don't have it anymore...)

Nope, even smaler. There is barely place for all tees to stay at the ground. big_smile

I played this morning with 8 or 9 players and here are my feeling :

I really like the concept however i dislike the point system.

For me the bomb should inspire fear. But the best way to earn points is to be the bomb and hit a other player. So player want to be the bomb. So they stay close to the bomb for became the bomb.

And i don't understand why when a normal player hit an other player he earn 1 point ?
Sometimes 2 or 3 players stay on a corner and they hits each other just for earn points.

For me, the fact of losing the round should be a big disadvantage.

I would have preferred that it is impossible to earn points, but when we explodes, we lose 5 points.

Subsequently we were just 3 tees, and it was really funny smile

What is your view on the actual point system ?

If I remember correctly, in the old mod you had a point whenever you survived the whole round. Don't know how heinrich did it, but imo should definitely not been done in any other way (points for fragging doesn't make any sense for this mod).

Two things: Why is the time at the top negative?

Is it because the countdown runs backwards, aswell? You might want to change this somehow. smile

I think i have rly good idea for this mod which will make score system much better:
The game starts for example with 10 players, players who joined server after the start need to wait to finish match. Basically scoring system can be like its now but, after the bomb was detonated player is moved to spectator mod with score which he get in game. And game continue with 9 players. On every round 1 player who lost being bomb is out from game but he has score which he get during game. The game ends when only 1 player is in game. And scores of all players who were also count to last classification, like in zCatch mod, but here it will be more fun bcs of running from bomb and trying to do not lose. In game like this bomb will make everyone fear of losing so there will be no problem with that and if you are able to play more rounds, there is bigger possibility to get more points.

And one more time ideas in points:
- scoring system stays like it is now(or maybe add -10 or even -20 points for losing with bomb)
- player who lost being a bomb is moved to spectator and he need to wait till game ends
- game ends when only 1 player is in game, every player's score who were participating in game counts.

Tried to compile on windows for Broken, dunno why but it opens a text file while compiling, when it's on the file "src/game/generated/protocol.h" so the compilation fails.
