Topic: problems with my server :(

hi @ all

and sorry for my bad english... i am from germany ^^

everytime i connects to my server its crashed down ... but people from the internet can play on my server -.-
after i connect its shows me "connection problems" and my server shows me the error with 8303...

I'm going to quote the doc:

* Configure firewall/nat/router to let though 8303. The master server will warn if players can't connect. Check http://portforward.com for help on setting up your router.

I dont want write a new topic, but i have a little problem with my own server.

I have win xp, and Im using firewall. I had configure my firewall, I did a good server config, coz I see my own server in the game Lan and Internet lists, but other players didnt see it. Why? I had try with turned off firewall and problem is the same hmm

sv_warmup=0
sv_map=ctf1

Did you see your own server in the internet browser?

What does the console say? Nothing about "NAT"?

Used to be very active waay back

or consol in game?

Yes, I see my server on the internet list in game.

Is this problem with my provider?

Yes I meant that console.
It doesn't seem like you have the same problem as everyone else...

Is the server online right now?
If not, start it and let it be online, and I'll try to connect to it.

Yes, I turned on it now, you can try to connect.
And I see some problem in console, and it looks like this:

Sorry, but I can't find your server. I don't know what's wrong, because it seems right...

Try messing around with someone you can talk directly, and try things out. Hopefully you find that it was something tiny and stupid you had overlooked smile

The server is running all the time from my post at 4:36 PM. and nothink had change, Only messages, I went there. net message is the same too [net]: sendto error -1 ffffffff

Do not connect to your own server from the Internet menu. Use the LAN menu to connect to your own server.

I have exactly the same problem on my machine (Vista) - You can find your server in the LAN, select it from there and it works perfectly! smile All other players can connect to it from the Internet menu, just not you... seems to be a bug.

sqbee, if you wanna some direct help, I'm Polish as well - you're welcome to msg me at zenfur@jabberpl.org . Although I use Linux, I think I may be of some help.
And something that comes to my mind now... Wait like 1 minute in the window of teewars_srv.exe for messages... Doesn't anything like this one down show up?

[xxxxxxxx][server]: ERROR: the master server reports that clients can not connect to this server.
[xxxxxxxx][server]: ERROR: configure your firewall/nat to let trough udp on port 8303.

If so, try advice from that topic, munyul wrote a decent howto there.

I had write I have good configuration in my firewall, I dont have errors like you wrote. I see my server and on internet list and Lan list, and I can join, but enybody else cant. look on post #8
