Sounds nice. Just one problem, how does one find the right clan to join?

You should have thought about that years and months ago

Now comes one obvious advantage of clans: We can participate in tournaments

When i mean years, then i mean Tee-Years.
And one Tee-Year is the duration between major releases.
So it passed one year during 0.3XX to 0.4XX.

And when a new version comes out again (0.5XX) we all celebrate new years eve on the servers

Dreamy it still ain't too late to join some clan, but you gotta stay in the clan after the tournament as well ^^

Just be sure to join some experienced or mature clan and not a kiddie-like group.

And there are more ways of joining a clan than being asked. For example you can ask the members ingame or apply on their homepages.

Anyways i would like an approximate date of this tournament. Will it be at the end of this month or so? Would fit great.
