Counter-Strike: Tee Time

Official server (Schwertspize's):
185.26.156.44:65011

Rules and gameplay logic:

Counter-Teerrorists (blue team)

  • Run down the round timer without the Teerrorists ever planting the C4 explosive

  • Defuse the C4 after it has been planted.

Teerrorists (red team)

  • Plant the C4 explosive and prevent Counter-Teerrorists from defusing it


The red flag acts as the bomb and when the round starts, one of the red players has it. The blue flag can't be picked up and the area around it acts as bomb planting area. Maps may contain multiple bomb areas. That way all ctf maps are playable but more suitable maps can be created with ease.

Counter-Teerrorists can defuse the bomb without buying any extra equipment (just stand near the bomb for a while).


Weapons & buying

Tee has 100 starting life, but it will be shown in scale from 0 to 10 (for vanilla clients). That way weapon can do for example 15 damage (1.5) or 5 damage (0.5).

Buying can be done using voting menu. Each rounds starts with players frozen to their positions. They have couple of seconds to buy weapons. Buying can be done after this pre-round time if the tee haven't moved too far from the spawn position.

At the start of the round players will be given hammer, pistol and some cash. Rifle & shotgun bullets has knockback effect. There won't be primary and secondary weapons, just weapons.

  • Magnum .9000

  • Taser

  • Double barrel shotgun

  • Uzi

  • Combat shotgun

  • Assault rifle

  • Heavy assault rifle

  • Lightning rifle

  • Storm rifle

  • Grenade launcher

  • Doom launcher

  • Laser rifle

  • Electro rifle

  • Doom ray

I was thinking of coding such a server (copying half life, not counter strike), but I'm already coding a server atm and I'm a bit lazy for such mods smile But I'd be glad to see this released !

Any map suggestions? Blue flag positions are area that bomb can be planted. There can be multiple of those.

There must be tons of old cs maps for teeworlds, right? smile

try using the infection mods popular maps, they are cool and I guess they are ok for this mod, just need to implement the blue flags

...And there's server up and running. Requires at least 2 players to start and doesn't have really good maps yet (just cycles ctf4 & ctf5).

I had a look before starting the mod. tongue

I'm trying to keep this simple (easy to understand & play), and if this mod ever gets even a small active player base I may add more complex features.

Btw what ideas did you mean?

I was thinking of adding smoke grenades using player spawn effects. There's not that many neat effects available in vanilla...

Explosions are better imo, and they are silent. You can't make silent player spawns (except if you give a modified client with it... but then you'd better make a custom effect yourself)

Added AI, auto balance (needs some fixing) and one new weapon (Storm Rifle).

Go find Counter-Strike: Tee Time -server and give it a shot. smile

Mod is good, but I don't like new weapons - learning how to use them takes some time. I think standard weapons would be better. smile

Last updates:
-Spectator mode reworked for dead players. Auto follow to most interesting player
-Weapon drops
-Various balance improvements (Doom ray still op big_smile)
-Command to disable "Using: This and that weapon" text. Check /cmdlist for this and other available commands

Sorry, haven't updated the download package for ages so I removed it for a while. There's eu server up, download as soon as everything is balanced. I'm doing balance improvements often, just dummified the AI. smile

I played it, I like it. Good work.
A couple of years ago we made a tees trike mod, too. Unfortunate only a few ppl wanted to play it. But maybe you are interested in some of the game ideas or additional gfx we made for the extra client e.g. this one was quite nice. I can use a couple of those, thanks! smile

I have a separate sprite sheet for hats / helmets, maybe I'll crop some of the headwear from your skins. That way I can set the hat to follow tee's aim (like in this clip: https://youtu.be/QkhNpkBg2SU).

Adding weapon drops and removing the start money balanced the game nicely.

Ideas and suggestions are still welcome (everything except smoke & flash grenades). I've already got so much great feedback from testers!
