But yeah ur right... there should be a low fire rate (as is said in the other post)
And the bullets should be like pistole... so they are harder to control (if u cant rapidfire)

Hmmm... sry for double post but i wanted to seperate that (and i just got the idea)

So here we go - some weapons i thought of:

Grenade:
Weird Miner:

Shooting grenades with very low range dealing 6 dmg.
If the grenade hits the ground it lies there for 2 seconds.
Then it will jump a certain hight and move forward 2 sec after it jumps again 2 seconds after it jumps again and explodes.
Explodes on impact with tee or wall (no teamfire but u can get hurt)

Laser:
"now-who-thought-that" - Rifle:

Rilfe with "normal" laser dealing 3 dmg.
When the laser hits the ground it spreads into 3 lasers dealing 2 dmg each.

Shotgun:
Blop - Gun:

Shoots a single shotgun bullet (1 dmg) flying straight.
If the range ends or theres an impact (tee or wall) the bullet will kind of explode and shoot 8 bullets each dealing 1 dmg in each direction.
It will hurt u the same way as an enemy so be carefull in close combat.
Little bullets have short range.

Melee:
Impact Hammer:

Expensiv hammer.
If u press the shoot button the hammer will start rapid fire hitting the air (it gets faster by time)
Each second u hit it charges energy and each second charges 1 dmg.
If u use it like a normal hammer it will deal only 1 dmg but with time it can deal up to 6 (or 8) dmg.
If u are rapidfire hitting the air and u get to hit an enemy the hammers speed will get to 0 and u need to charge it again.

That could be really cool, but the main problem I can see is that in games like CoD and CS, you'll actually have vision, but only close and very vague. It will be hard to replicate that in a 2D game. It will cover everything, and that might be a problem for the gameplay. We'll talk about it. smile

This is a real gameplay slower. Its only job is to slow gameplay down, and that's not something we want to do.

I have to admit, I haven't been paying any attention to the debate... but I mostly just wanted to post my new Weapon/Items ideas... please post Creative Criticism about them... :]

New weapons Ideas:

Bow & arrow:
* Price: 1200tc.
* Damage: Least 2, most 6.
* Rate of fire: Least 1 sec, most 5 sec.
* Reload time: 1 1/2 seconds.
* Range: Small-Large.
* Other Charges up, uses two hands.
* Pros: Long distance, if charged long enough gives 6 damage.
* Cons: Can't use hook, becaues needs the use of two hands.

Frosty:
* Price: 3100tc.
* Damage: 1 for every 3 seconds.
* Rate of fire: Constant
* Reload time: 3 seconds.
* Range: Small.
* Other Slows down tee's, used enough, can freeze them in a block of ice. Flamethrower melts ice.
* Pros: Good for team attack, easy to defeat them, and toss them off edge.
* Cons: Not a good killing weapon. If you freeze them; they have immunity to gun damage.

Slug gun:
* Price: 2400tc.
* Damage: None
* Rate of fire: 2 seconds
* Reload time: 3 1/2 seconds
* Range: Medium
* Other Makes tee sticky.
* Pros: You can leave it on ground, for a sticky trap, or shot it in at a bunch of tee's.
* Cons: Dose no damage. Tee's can stick you each other, slide down walls, and stick to sealing for 3 seconds. (Possible use, for a surprise attack)

Land Mine:
* Price: 2890tc.
* Damage: 3 to 5
* Rate of fire: 1/4
* Reload time: 4
* Range: Large
* Other You don't shot it, you leave it on the ground. It will Explode after 8 seconds, no mater what.
* Pros: You can leave it on ground, or use the controller for lager planed explosion and more damage.
* Cons: If you use as controller, you are immobile.

Homing Rocket:
* Price: 5200tc.
* Damage: 8
* Rate of fire: N/A
* Reload time: 6 seconds
* Range: Large
* Other Won't relode until rocket explodes.
* Pros: Dose the work of finding for you. Extremely power full, fast, and big boom.
* Cons: Slows you down. The rocket doesn't take turns to well. Give damage to any tee near by the big explosion. Gives you 2 damage when it comes out. Enemy tee's might use the rockets to redirect at you/your teammate.

Poison Dart:
* Price: 1900tc.
* Damage: 1 for every seconds
* Rate of fire: 2
* Reload time: 1
* Range: Medium
* Other None
* Pros: Good for hit and run
* Cons: Isn't powerful. Poison only last 4 seconds. And you will be called a n00b if that is all you use.

Smoke bomb:
* Price: 4600tc.
* Damage: None
* Rate of fire: 3 seconds
* Reload time: 6 seconds
* Range:  Large
* Other None
* Pros: Get's almost all of the screen full of white smoke, blinding your enemies.
* Cons: Blinds you, and your team mates too.



Idioms: (Like the hook and double jump)

Parachute:
* Price: 700tc.
* Damage: None.
* Rate of fire: Instant
* Reload time: None
* Range: Infinite
* Other Uses both hand for holding on.
* Pros: Lessens the damage from falling great height, if used soon enough no damage is done.
* Cons: You can't move to the left, right, use hook or use any guns.
P.S. If this is put into the game, there needs to be damage from falling from great heights.

Jet pack:
* Price: 2000tc.
* Damage: Up to 6.
* Rate of fire: Constant
* Reload time: 4
* Range: Far
* Other none
* Pros: Very good for going up. If you reach top speed and run into the sealing were a hanging tee is, 6 damage to the other tee.
* Cons: If you reach top speed and run into the sealing you will die. You can only recharge on ground. And can only go up.

Shield:
* Price: None you just have it.
* Damage: Up to 8
* Rate of fire: Constant
* Reload time: Up to 12
* Range: Small
* Other  None
* Pros: Takes away 65% of damage that is given to you. Deflects bullets & lasers... deflected bluets and lasers can hurt enemy tee's.  And you can't be hooked.
* Cons: You are immobile. And can be pushed off edge.

I think there are some rly good ideas there but... write to ur weapon list if the weapon is secondary or pirmary (or else? XD)
And frosty and sluggun sound a bit like gameplay slowers with non and little dmg...
Poison darts are definitly to powerfull (in survivial especially) and would kinda ruin the gameplay.
Slug gun should make dmg because then the only use is to slow down gamplay.
If the homing rocket deals dmg to teammates some idiots will just fire it in the ground at the beginning. And if u can make it fly into the enemey base (FS) of the blue guys and they have to camp its a bit unfair ^^
U should be able to hook with bow and arrow but just if u are not charging a shot.
If u hook and charge a shot the hook breaks. Arrows should fly farrther and faster with more charge.

+1 for the frosty (and why not a poisonous weapon).
Like I see it : it makes very little damage and the more you hit the tee and the more he moves slower. If you hit him enough then he will be frozen for 2 or 3 s. It could be really useful with a teammate with an other weapon and I don't think it slows the gameplay.

edit: I didn't see you make explanations on the weapons at the beginning tongue

The real problem for so many different weapons are the ppl that dont have the client... because its even more confusing if there are 5 different kinds of weapons that look all the same ^^

If Tee-strike would be included in 6.0 (which is still quiete far away i know) there would probably be more players because everybody could enjoy the wonderfull graphics without downloading something.

As there are some death tiles on the fs maps, maybe a shield would be good which you can activate and are immune for death tiles for like 2 seconds to have time to get out. Of course you have to activate it very quickly.

How about this: The shield with the deflecting stuff can be activated and prevents u from death tiles but u cant move.
So 1 of your friends needs to drag u out before the shield energy ends. Because invincyble against deathtiles would suck - even if just for short time.

And i had another idea for an item ^^

Some kind of cloak of invisibility:

U get invisible.
U cant shoot or hook.
U can get dmg.
After its energy runs out or u deactivate it u have to wait 2 seconds before shooting.
If u touch a flag it deactivates.
Costs 6000$
And if posible : it shouldnt show your name plate ^^

Well about the weapon list, ether we would have to change it altogether, and have a different category called new weapon.
Poison darts... do you think we should make it more expensive, or else powerful... like once you hit them you give them 1 damage for the wound, and 2 more for the poison, for a total of 3 damage.
Well the thing about the Homing rocket is, you don't just fire it, you completely stop and kinda like if you hit tab, you see the list of players, (Your team mates would come up as gray, to say that you can't chose them) then you would chose someone from the other team, then it would fire. (aka, you can't shot it at the ground)

I think the invisible part, is very interesting... but what about if the tee turns white, and have an transparency of 98%.   

@Golmopp, I saw some of the new stuff they are putting in, sounds really good for improving game play. smile
But what is with Balloon? o.o
And in the description of it: Balloon + Mine (Hellium) When activated, goes upwards until it hits a roof/5 secs gone/someone hit the balloon, and then BOOM... what would the + mine be? Like a land mine? And I looked, there wasn't anything for landmine... so I am kind of confused :C

We've looked at the ideas, but we might do that again soon. As of now, we only have "Primary weapons" "Secondary weapons" and "Special equipment". These might change, but currently it's sufficient.

Invisibility isn't interesting at the moment. Stuff like that is possible to alter and thereby cheat. Stuff like extra double jumps and longer hook is just too boring, really. tongue We want some unique stuff. Things like shield etc adds more unique ways to use the special equipment slot.

Since the new coming of Now, Primary weapons, Secondary weapons, and Spacial equipment,
and the Shield, I think that in the up coming tee-strike settings, it should be like this: 1,2,3, is for Primary weapons, 4,5,6, for Secondary weapons, and 7,8,9 for Spacial equipment, and [S] for shield... or custom setting for all of the above.

Because I noticed that there is only one button for customization.

I agree with custom for everything - and up to 3 buttons for primary weapons.
Or a button that just switches between primary and secondary (to the 1 u are not using right now XD)

And i also had another stupid weapon idea:

Primary:
A drill - close combat - can rapidfire -> without reload or just slowly using ammo up 5 to 8 dmg

My first idea was that u could drill through 1 tile of the map for 1 primary ammo but that would... u know, screw the maps up XD
