Hi!, i am sorry, but i can't compile it for linux... sad

If you get a compiled version, please post it, so i can update the unix binary wink

Version 5.1 is out!

New commands:
sv_melt_health - Default 10, Health you have after  being melted while sv_melt_respawn is 0

sv_automelt_display - Default 1, Displays the time left till you automelt with the armor display

New features:
Frozen tags got implented properly now.
Automelt time can be displayed, so people know when they will automelt.
If sv_melt_respawn is set to 0 (you continue playing at the place where you was as frozen) the health you continue with can be set now. This is to prevent keeping standing on melt tiles if desired. smile

Bugfixes:
Some bugs with the frozen tags fixed.

tom there is this mod made by someone else but i dunno where to find him so ill post it here.

You had this idea of a f-ng mod and i have played it and its alot of fun but can you tell the creator that he should cut out the sides of the map so it is smaller? it would be better that way

i dont know if you know this guy who made the mod but in the info section it said the origional idea was from you

He is the one who created all differences between my mod and his one. wink

Franchan means f-ng MOD - which is basically freeze MOD but u have to drag ur enemys into spikes to score.

There you go:
teeworlds_srv_freeze_5.1.tbz2
This is a linux build, don't call it unix. I don't think it runs on *bsd or solaris (or other unices).

Regarding the mod:
Im currently working on a save feature like idmsave etc with a little namefake - preventing trick i worked out so far:
Score is checked by name AND the first segment of ips (eg: 275.345.232.345)
which usually doesnt change at dynamic ips wink

Tom, I have some ideas for your mod (i can make them myself but its your mod) :
First use a smaller gametype, iFreeze is a bit too long i think (ifrz perhaps).
And why not add a new gametype :
An iCtf with freeze system : when you shoot a player, he become frozen during almost 3 secs.
But if you shoot the flag carrier, he die.

What do you think about that ?

This definitely is a nice idea and would match the new save feature aswell.

Maybe in ifrzCTF if u shoot flag man he freezes and flag dropps out of him flying the other direction u shot him for ^^

U shot him here -> he gets shot -> flag flys here
                               he is frozen

Ohhhhhh i saw the map and even tested it, im sorry that i forgot to comment sad

Anyways... its a nice map but just too big for my servers...
Also the water is too deep... people die cause of the melt tile penetration too easyly smile

Try to make a smaller map like ctf5 or the current maps we use and its welcomed to be part of the official servers if it gets as good as the one you released wink

I've got some thoughts on the freeze and melt tiles in the only map that have them at the moment. I think that the freeze tiles are strategically placed and that they do oblige not to camp in the middle of the map.

However, so far, I haven't seen anybody using the melt tiles. They are placed to far from the main combat field and thus are really difficult to use for melting a friend. Maybe, it would be more challenging if some melt tiles where placed at the bottom of the map between the bases and the middle. Thus, people would get hurt when staying on them (good, more movement, more action) and get melt when frozen in air or on the ice platforms.

What do you think?

Apart from that, I like the mod very much. And I'm waiting for more maps to get out and exploit the possibilities brought by the new tiles. It is also very good for teamplay, still keeping the strategic side. For me, it's a real improvement over the instagib one. There is way more fun!

And finally, I tested also the IFrzCTF. We were only 4 on your server, this was too few and there was absolutely no cooperation. So no fun at all. I'll give it another try asap.
