Very good mod, however I have a few suggestions.
* Can you reset the stats when a new game is starting ?
* At the end of a game, would it be possible to display the teecomp pannel instead of the original score pannel, and too when the player die ?
* I don't get how players are sorted in the scoreboard, could they be sorted by ratio, or frags ?
* Why not a "combo breaker" col, that would indicate how many killing sprees the player did, and broke smile

On the few servers I play, each time the map is changing, someone calls a vote to load the last one. So we have to reload a new map, to wait again for the warmup... In order to avoid it, a vote for the next map would be perfect, what do you think about that ?
Something that could be good too would be to automatically call a vote for "Keep the same map" and the end of a round, when scores are displayed....

I know that teeworlds is developed following the KISS principe, and I also know that devs don't want anything more on the score panel. But I think that displaying a country flag near the player's name wouldn't be superfluous, and wouldn't complicate the panel. Something like the second or third line of this mockup would be perfect :

Moreover it could indicate in what language we can talk and also prevent some players to write their nationality in their names.
What do you think of that ?

I've noticed than when I display the emoticon pannel, and the I choose one with the mouse left click, it is also make my tee use his weapon. I don't think it's normal, so I report it.

Another suggestion, that I suppose had been done a thousand time but would be very useful: we should be able to type each console command in the server program. I actually have a few servers, and it is very uncomfortable to launch the game to change some values.... Moreover I think it wouldn't be too hard to do.

If I disable compiz, it works every time. That's so annoying ! However it worked perfectly on the previous version... Did the devs test the game on an equivalent configuration?
If you don't fix this bug, could you at least configure the "Escape" touch to make the game quit when we are on the GUI ? Because, as the mouse doesn't work once on ten, I have to press F1 and type "quit" every time... A fatser way to relaunch the game would be nice smile

Can you provide a sample configuration files please big_smile ?

I think it's good the way it is.

But this is simple. If a player had been hooked and then he falls, so it must be that the hook disturbed his move. Else he would have fall onto the ground, or he would have hooked the ground.
How can a player hook a second one and be innocent of his eventual dead ?
Moreover, I think it could add a very funny way to play.

Now 0.5.0 allow mappers to do "flying maps" so when you fall, you die, like ctf5 if I remember well. When a player falls, it is considered as a suicide, but if a player pulls another player into the emptiness (I don't know the right word), well it should be considered as a kill.
So the point should go to the last player who hooked the dead player after he touched the ground.
If I'm not understandable, tell me, I'll try to re-explain myself.
What do you think about this ?

As the name can tell you, it is a map, like ctf5 where you can fall or pull you ennemies in the void quite often. You can play it in ctf or a tdm, because the map is symetrical, but I prefer play it in dm.
Critics ? Advises ? French cheese ?

Why do not make a death count as we have a kill count on the score pannel ? This is an interresting stat, in some cases like equality between two players.

I've tried on two others pc running Ubuntu 8.10 and the bug still appears randomly. Compiz effects are enabled on all this computers, and they all have a nVidia GPU... (6800  and 9600).

I've installed the latest version of teeworlds using svn and I have noticed a strange bug.
First I give you my configuration : I'm running Ubuntu 8.10 (with compiz) on a Dell Latitude E6500. My screen resolution is 1440*900 and Teeworlds 0.4.3 runs perfectly.
Now if I run the game trough a console, the mouse isn't "captured" by the game. So I can see the Gnome white cursor moving, but not the teeworlds one. But if I run the game by double-clicking on the icon, this is working properly. Note that if the game isn't on 1440*900 resolution, both work.
That's all smile

edit : In fact it seems that it is done randomly, even using the icon.
edit² : Right or left click are captured by the game, but doesn't solve the problem
edit³ : tonight I test on another pc...

Of course I've tried. smile For this mod (as for many other I tried) I'm unable to patch the sources (sometimes I can patch, but it doesn't compile).

I'm searching for a ban patch that runs on 0.4.3. After a long search, on this forum and on google, I've only found patches made for 0.4.2.
And I need to run 0.4.3 because I have installed other patches for 0.4.3.
So, do you know where I can find that ?

Hi everybody
It would be great if we could have the ingame admin console when we run the server program. It would be useful for people who host many servers and want to quickly change a setting on their server, without run the game.
I don't think it is too hard to do...
