Topic: [MAP] Mine [DM/TDM]

Hello community,
this is my second DM/TDM map for up to four players.
I only used stock-content, so you absolutely need nothing else than Teeworlds 0.5.2 to play! smile
Just have a play and give your feedback.

Looks quite good, but I think that the red ones are at an advantage because the grenade with are up and can easily fall down

I think you mean that red has a dissadvantage, or am I wrong?
And blue has a advantage, because of the high difference.

yeah, that's why asymmetric CTF-Maps are so difficult to creat, the balancings.
And I tested it on both sides (2on2) and there are maybe minor advantages for the blue team. But you can balance that with the right tactic.

That's right, that's why I focused the gameplay in the middle-part of the map. But I will adjust the weapon-placement. wink

But I think the map need more plays to find that out, I will fix it by then. smile

Blue is always at advantage higher position in Teeworlds has always the advantage.

The map structure will always lead to inbalance the flags have to be at the same level to create a bit balance then you can try to create asymmetrical maps

I know well about how "ctf" works. And I will consider the height-advantage, so that team red has other advantages (weapon-placement, distance to the flag etc.), to keep the whole balanced. smile

It's impossible to balance this equal, without destroying the gameplay. hmm

So I gonna make another DM/TDM map out of this, what is really FUN!!
The version now has much more space for hooking; but I have to change the gametype and adjust the map a bit for that. Will be ready soon. smile

I plan to recreate the "reverse"-idea in an other symmetrical map.

As I promised, I changed the gametype to DM/TDM.
So, The new map-version is out now!!
