Topic: [MAP, 1v1, RC1] Thexder

Candidate Release 1 (now released, see below)

Name: Thexder
Tiles: Brick (new set)

  I'm looking for comments on the item placement and useage. If you believe the layout needs changing, I'm also open to suggestions.

  I'll have a temperary server running the map shortly (Sunday evening)...

Wow!
Good work. Its a very good map, good design and of course a good idea smile
You dont need to change the layout, because its great big_smile
The size and the tiles are Ok! But you could add some more tiles ore doodads.
Its a perfect map for 1on1 i think. It would also be good for an istagib.

@[_Xe'n'eX_], glad you liked the map.

I'm not an artist, the simple tiles that I've created should be proof enough of that, so I won't be creating (or adding) any cool doodads...

I have, however, created some more simple tiles to add in some more variety to the mix. I hope to release the final version of the map sometime this week.

I don't think this map really needs any doodads... It wouldn't hurt, but it does well without too.

I think that those "blocks" makes the screen blurry when moving fast. But it can be my monitor, its a laptop so smile

Nope it's not just your laptop.

The tiles are 64x64 pixels. When the game displays them on screen they are resized to 32x32 (I think), it's the on-the-fly resizing that seems to cause them to shimmer.

You don't notice the shimmering as much with the original tiles as they have been created using mostly soft curved edges, whereas these tiles are ridged...

I don't mind, I still like my tile tongue
