Another problem is that those old maps probably aren't compatible with 0.6.x, so we would need an update.
As they are inactive, it could become difficult to get the agreement of the owners..

Some maps that might be noteworthy:

I looked in the maps forum for 1on1 maps, and a big problem for me is, that the links/screenshots for a lot of old maps, which I think might be good for 1on1, are dead e.g. dm_winter1 (by Chi11y).

I have plenty of 1on1 instagib maps, but you aren't looking for those.

I made this map for the MWG at one point, but it was decided that it was too similar to dm1. Indeed it is a remake, but still different. I don't know if you've seen it before.

I touched it up a bit at parts, so the screenshots won't be accurate, but they'll still be accurate enough to tell you the basics of it.
