Is linux mint 9 your primary OS?

Try updating your drivers.

ok sorry im using linux mint 9 iv never booted the game up before iv only played it at my friends house so yea.....i also downloaded nexuiz and it did the same thing....would my resolution be part of this? or do i need drivers or somthing?

If using Windows, click Start -> Run and type cmd. Using the cd command get to folder with teeworlds and then type in teeworlds.exe . TeeWorlds will launch. Then, if it will close again, I think there will be some error message in the command line, after the TW closes. Send it to us here or take a screenshot

Some things you could say before we are able to help you:
Did you already put things like skins, gamelayers etc. into your teeworlds directory or do you use a modded client?
Which operation system do you use?
To fix the problem it might also be helpful to reload teeworlds

i boot up teeworlds and it goes to full screen and i see the loading screen without anything behind it but after a couple secounds it closes out is there somthing i can do to fix that?
