Then you can disable the hud and the cursor while recording and it looks a lot nicer. It is also possible to boost the fps if you record in 0.5x speed and then increase the speed in your video editor by 0.5 again.

And demos is also the format people use to share demos. Sending recorded video files is bigger than via demo. And then you get the struggle with different framerates/gameskins/resolutions etc.
