@Deku: If we could get pieLover to host NA servers, that problem would be solved splikkity lik, but he might not be able to do that, due to funding or unavailability of hosts, etc.

But I'm not sure that sandsnake will attempt to actually run a tournament without a tiny time till deadline anyway
If he does, then my last statement is a possibility.

I would like to try joining (ctf5 6v6), but these issues may stand in the way:
A. I have no idea if I'd be able to attend the competitions,
B. I live on the west coast of the US, so I routinely get upwards of 160 ping on European servers, and
C. My clan is also mostly North American, and mainly plays OpenFNG so I'm not so sure I'd be able to have 5 other members of my clan compete as well.

EDIT: Nevermind, apparently there was a very short deadline in the first place. Then again if it took that long for people to say anything, I guess it didn't matter. Also, the fact that the first post wasn't edited makes it less obvious that it's closed.

hm seems like if I were not to put a simple sv_gametype cft setting, the server would try to set dm as default (variables.h), that's actually what I was asking for, not for such simple stuff as motd and so on, but thanks for the maps, that I need.

Servers are set up and running (upTee.net)
One for those bots, one for the tournament and two normal ones.

I'd host a small CTF map (like ctf1 or ctf7) with a score limit similar to CTF.

So an example config would be

sv_map ctf1
sv_scorelimit 500
sv_rcon_password #YOUR_PASSWORD#

EDIT:
You probably also want a server name and contact data in the MOTD:

sv_name #SERVER_NAME#
sv_motd #Server admin: your@email.com#

That is exactly why this mod wont get popular. People play it, see its not good, leave and never play it again.

There is a source. You can host it and play by yourself alone.
